They were coming to take everything. But he wouldn't let them. Introducing the Resilience Collection. Handmade books made from authentic WWII era paper.

The following is a true account of human resilience and courage.

During World War II there was a man who owned a stationery shop in Eastern Europe. He had been tipped off that the Soviet government was coming to confiscate shops and take possession of their inventory. In order to escape forceful deportation to Soviet concentration camps, the man and his wife surrendered their business on their own accord. BUT...before they did, the couple boxed up as much paper and pencils and books as they could and hid them away in several places. They lost almost every other valuable belonging they had.

Seventy years later, their great grandson Janis was remodeling the family cottage. He discovered one wall that was thicker than others and tore it open. There he discovered boxes and boxes of perfectly preserved, mint condition antique stationery and paper from his great grandfather’s shop. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Then he sold some to me, and I sewed it into a lovingly handcrafted leather bound journal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
